From a no nearby facilities perspective

Dear Sir

I read in the local paper that the Council is thinking of closing Plas Madoc Leisure Centre.
I live in the locality and if you take the Leisure away we will have nothing. I use it regularly as do my children. The facilities are within easy reach. You talk about building a new one in Wrexham but I can’t afford to travel there each time I want exercise and the bus service is being cut anyway.

The paper said that the Consultants didn’t think local people used it that much, that’s rubbish. I’ve not spoken to anyone who was asked by the Consultants. I think a lot of their figures were made up so that it justified closing the Leisure.

The people in the area need it. Leave it alone.
